时间的尽头不是末日审判，而是没有指针的滴答、一切凝固在此刻，没有昨天，没有未来。世界的尽头不是宇宙的边界，而是荒蛮之地的蔓延、熟悉的地标犹如异星球表面，有时像中古的传说，有时是暗夜的梦魇。北极的冰冻旷野，就是时间和世界的尽头。
无尽之夜的阴沉渐渐退却，极昼紧紧追随她的脚步，短暂的春季，也许是新生命仅有的机会。皑皑雪原上，无冕的极地之王依循脑海中神秘的地图踽踽独行，在风中寻找他的王后。珍贵的日光正在融化海冰的骨架，他的倒计时沙漏飞速流转。他是机警的情报专家，他是狡猾坚韧的好猎手，踏着她留下的足印找寻。Female，bingo！Without cubs，bingo！人们常在千万人中寻唯一灵魂之伴侣，北极熊却是在千万里冰原中寻唯一机遇。她带他去往冰峰顶处，相守，相爱。短暂的温馨时刻结束了，他们分道扬镳，也许终生不会再见。

仅对最精华的部分——第一集进行一点评论。
BBC的纪录片一贯保持着高水准，其作品一直广受好评，这部新作品延续了这种优良传统，十分出色，展现出了BBC在纪录片制作方面的深厚功底，个人认为其无愧于豆瓣的9.8的超高评分，可以说代表了自然类纪录片中的最高水准。
首先在镜头的处理上，该片中展现了许多航拍的镜头，而且非常喜欢选择极为浩大的场景进行表现，就像在《地球脉动》中的感觉，场景都是选择视野非常开阔的环境下进行拍摄，景色的感觉都是十分壮观，这种对于浩大的展现体现出了很强的力量感，很有气势，让人不由感到自身的渺小，进而被其征服。其在气魄上的压倒性的表现使它的景色都有一种令人窒息的美感，这种感觉给我的印象与《泰坦尼克号》的感觉相似，它的对于力量的展现令观众十分钦佩，完全被震撼。对于这种感觉的成功表现说明了这部作品绝对是一部大制作，因为很多壮观的镜头是需要大量的投入才能拍出来的，比如说对于火山的拍摄，这种镜头不是想拍就能拍出来的，是需要多方面的支持与配合的。这种如同好莱坞大片的豪迈为其成为纪录片中的极品打下了坚实的基础。
但这部作品绝不仅仅是一次简简单单的烧钱游戏，其在细节的处理上证明了BBC在纪录片领域的领先地位，其在细节镜头的选取上以及音乐和旁白的配合上同样十分出色，使整部作品在大气的基础上又不失严谨与缜密，比如说在雌性北极熊刚出场时，背景音乐瞬间变得轻快，给人以轻松之感，而此时在雄性北极熊的镜头的选取上也体现出了其可爱的一面，整体感觉轻松而又愉悦，当两者相遇时，音乐开始放缓，表现得十分温馨，但两者最终别离时，镜头选择的是雄北极熊独自行走的背影，对于细节的拿捏极为出色。另外在企鹅与海狮的场景中，音乐一直非常轻快，并且镜头的处理上选择了慢放的效果，将两者的行动时的笨笨的感觉展现得淋漓尽致，没有让人们感受到这是一种残酷的捕杀的行为，表现得十分轻松，另外个人认为在企鹅第一次跑掉的时候的那句“猎手与猎物的技术都如此拙劣很罕见”的很有英式幽默的调侃的旁白可以说是点睛之笔，再看当时的两者的样子，确实感觉十分有趣。另外在一些展现大自然的磅礴气势的镜头中的背景音乐的选取都十分精准，在表现它的气势的方面可以说是锦上添花。这些对于细节的出色的把握不是随便砸钱就能砸出来的，它展现了BBC在纪录片领域的深厚的功力。

第二集：闹起来的那对小北极熊………………北极罂粟，死而复生13次变成了蛾子还是丑丑的北极蛾子……捉鸭子的北极狼爸爸尼玛为什么会长得像韩少…………猫头鹰！！！！！……当企鹅走路的时候表去打扰他！他会摔倒！~然后脑袋撞个包………………白企鹅不是企鹅…………风向始终是正确的，有的信天鸥飞不起来是因为太笨………彩虹…………鲜艳的发光的变色的水母…………

牛群在广袤的荒芜平原上集结，即冰雪的衣角尚未完全褪去的草原上，那几分显扬的灵动莹白则是这个荒原的捕食者——雪狼，厚厚的白色毛皮在寒风里泠然抖动，清澈的眼珠毫不掩饰饥饿的本能，牛群众探出的小角让他们觉得终于有机可图了
追逐，离间，捕获，两匹狼撕咬着小牛脖颈处厚厚的毛皮，剩下的牛群在十米外远观
一头成年公牛猛然冲向了受困的小牛，犹豫者跟随
距离已经逼近了三米，雪狼颓然松开到口的美食，夹着尾巴逃跑了，小牛重回牛群中间
食草者有着庞大的身躯应对食肉者拥有的尖利爪牙，群居的习性应对迅捷的速度
微妙的生与死在十米的距离里却能繁衍生息
放债者距离欠债人一米不到，轻信的人落入糖衣炮弹的轰炸，有人拯救还是概率问题

敏捷的俯冲与谨慎的环视，一只无人监护的小企鹅就被带上了天，待到了安全区域，拆分和饕餮再次上演
企鹅的片区里，企鹅夫妇们有了更多的精力来照料剩下的一个孩子，毕竟整个沙滩的这些小家伙在成年期里可得吃掉一百五十吨的磷虾
有机可乘被席卷而去的价值，有时候给失去者带来了更好的选择——因为选择变少了
逆戟鲸与海狮

逆戟鲸通过一致的潜行和摆尾在琉璃样的水面激起了波浪，把握得当的距离和力度，海狮像是融化了的巧克力划入了泱泱海水
海狮有着锋利的牙齿，或许那也是为什么逆戟鲸在这块可口的巧克力落入了水里之后依然谨慎，可是别忘了，还是有着脆弱的尾部
一个耗不起我上两个，两个耗不起我上小分队，当然，一致而有效的战术也是一击毙命的关键
PS：企鹅会偷盗、北极熊养育幼崽、雪鸮结尾伴侣……这些事情到底是本能还是学习的天性，或者它们的智商和XX岁的人类差不多？要是能听懂每一种动物的语言，世界一定倍加有趣

“我们在北极严寒冰雪中的困难，跟这两只动物（被撕咬的野牛和受伤的狼）的生死相争相比，显得那么微不足道。作为拍摄者，我的内心饱受煎熬，我知道必须拍摄，也知道这是自然事件，不过却无比伤感，因为这两只了不起的动物，终有一只要死去……野牛受了重伤，战斗结束。”这就是纪录片的人文关怀。
bbc又奉献了一出冰雪的世界，依然佩服那些制作人员，尤其是摄影师！
这个片子看得我心潮澎湃，就很想跟着BBC的摄制组去走一趟，觉得那样才是有意义的生活
很好看，视角故事画面配乐都无可挑剔，几乎每个镜头都可以抠下来做桌面。加上英国国宝Attenborough的声音，简直是完美。我觉得也就BBC的纪录片有占领一个国家黄金档三分之一收视率的能力，第二集居然都千万了……最后一集关于全球变暖的完美体现了BBC关于"Balance"的哲学。
BBC的自然历史纪录片总是如此的制作精良且充满温情，让人难以割舍。

一直对那片白茫茫的大地很神往，BBC工作人员们的敬业的拍摄精神更让我为之叹服。我好喜欢北极狼和北极狐啊啊啊！！！！！还有萌死人不偿命的小海豹~~ 尊重自然，在环保与发展之间找到一个平衡点，是拯救这冰冻星球的当务之急。
